When there is no indication of spice/or meals are listed as family friendly, the meals are not spicy at all, and have a less bold flavor profile. Meals such as pasta with meat sauce, Sloppy joes, Cheeseburger sliders, etc. have no bold seasoning such as fresh ginger, curry pastes, excessive garlic that might not appeal to young children.
Mild Spice is meant to indicate that there is a bolder flavor profile with the potential for mild heat.
Medium Spice would be a fair indication that ANYONE who can't handle any heat should avoid the dish.
High Spice which we don't use very often would be for those that can handle a pretty high level.
The Spice Level is to let customers know that heat factor is in an ingredient that cannot be left out of the dish i.e. it is not an optional add-on, but an integral part of the dish that cannot be modified.
